Do I need a domain name?
A domain name is required for your WebCaster site. There are three options for obtaining one:
| Option 1 | When you subscribe to WebCaster, Calyx Software will supply a domain name for you to use—free of charge. Your web address consists of a prefix that you choose (such as your company name) and the Calyx-supplied domain name is the suffix. | Option 2 | Calyx Software has teamed up with Register.com to make it easier for WebCaster subscribers to register a domain name. The established practice between Calyx and Register.com ensures that Calyx can process the records required to assign the domain name to your WebCaster site—saving you time and paperwork. | Option 3 | If you already have a registered domain name or you plan to register one through a company other than Register.com (to learn more about Register.com, see option 2), you can use your domain name for your WebCaster site address. You'll need to work with your registrar to process the records required to assign the domain name to your WebCaster site. |
