NEWSLETTER | NOVEMBER 2007

On November 5, Calyx Software will issue an I-Update that updates the interfaces in Point (versions 5.2 and higher). The update installs automatically and adds new vendors to the Lenders, Services, and Interfaces menus in Point. The I-Update also applies updates to existing connections as needed.

The update process affects only company listings in the Lenders, Services, and Interfaces menus in Point — no personal information is collected and no modifications are made to any other portions of your Point software. Sometime shortly after November 5, when users of Point 5.2 or higher open their software and are connected to the Internet, Point will automatically receive and install the I-Update. After the I-Update has been received, the next time Point is opened, the new listings will appear.

Silver Hill Financial® — the First Commercial Lender Integrated into Point.

Calyx Software is pleased to announce Silver Hill Financial as the first commercial lender integrated into the Calyx Network. The addition of Silver Hill Financial, a leading national real estate lender specializing in small-balance commercial loans, enables residential mortgage brokers to more easily transition into small commercial lending through the convenience of Calyx’s Point loan origination system (LOS) software.

Silver Hill offers an innovative debt-to-income (DTI) underwriting approach to small-balance commercial loans from $100,000 to $1.5 million. The program factors in the borrower’s personal financial background and credit score, in addition to the property’s value, when evaluating the ability to repay the loan; this flexible approach eliminates minimum debt-service requirements and many of the hassles associated with traditional commercial lending. Through Silver Hill’s program, mortgage professionals can expand their business and earn incremental income by offering financing on a wide range of property types including multifamily, mixed-use, office, retail and many others. In addition, the nationwide lender offers free in-depth training and marketing support.

On November 5, 2007, Silver Hill Financial will be integrated into Calyx Point’s lender category, which provides loan officers with secure and reliable electronic connections to lenders connected to The Calyx Network. Connected lenders benefit from improved quality control, easier exchange of data with originators, and a streamlined method for ensuring originators possess updated information on their company’s products.

Support Tech Tip of the Month:
The Calyx Knowledge Base is an excellent source for getting information on a variety of Point topics. You can get there by clicking on the KB link: http://kb.calyxsupport.com/kb/.

Recently, a common question asked of the Calyx support group is, “How do I create a new data folder using Point Administrator?” If this is something you’ve been trying to figure out how to do, or you think that you may soon want to create a new data folder, find all of the details on how to do this at http://kb.calyxsupport.com/kb/article.php?id=375.

Point 6.0b Update Coming Later This Month
Calyx is currently in the process of creating a downloadable update for Point 6.0 that will add the new California MLDS (RE-885) for non-traditional loans, and update some recently modified Federal and State disclosures. We will notify all Point customers with the details about the update and provide download instructions for it as soon as it becomes available.

Attention Argent Customers!
During the November I-Update, Calyx will amend its Lenders menu and Argent will now be accessed under the name “Citi Residential Lending,” Argent’s new owner.
