Cardex Database

Point includes the Cardex Database, a handy tool for managing contact information for service partners and other professionals who are associated with the loan file. Examples include banks, appraisers, title companies, real estate agents, and builders—just to name a few. Information from the Cardex Database can be inserted into fields in the loan file, making it quick and easy to generate forms, including verifications. And you can access the Cardex Database from any point in the loan file, so contact information is always at your fingertips. Note: The Cardex Database is not active in the demo software.

File Transfer via E-mail

Use the built-in e-mail feature with a 256-bit encryption option to send your files to a coworker who uses Point. Your file automatically appears as an attachment, ready to send. When your coworker opens the attachment, a new Point file is created, containing all the data from your file.

Save Point forms as PDFs

Simply choose E-Mail from the File menu or click the new e-mail icon and select E-Mail Forms, then choose whether to password protect the forms.

Data Import and Export

The Data Import engine in Point allows you to import data from another application, including Microsoft Office. You can import data from any application capable of generating ASCII-delimited text files or Fannie Mae formatted files. The Data Import engine will read the data and enter it in the correct fields. If you need to import multiple files, an easy-to-use batch option is available. With the Data Export engine, you can easily transfer information from loan files to Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications, including databases and spreadsheets.

Data Management

Point contains Point Administrator for creating and managing folders. Organize your loan files and segment your loan pipeline in the manner that works best for you. Create user ID and password access to folders, restrict access to folders, or set up read-only access to folders.
