1139 Setting the Zip/Webcaster Preferences

You have the ability to enter both Zip and WebCaster credentials into your Point system, depending on which service you are using. Click the below buttons as apply for instructions on setting the preferences.

Note: It is not recommended to use both services together or to toggle back and forth between the two.

 

Setting your Zip Preferences:

1. Navigate to Utilities > Zip/WebCaster Preferences.

2. Select the Zip radio button in the Connect to: section.

3. Complete the Administration Login Information section.

a. Administrator E-Mail – The email address your Zip account is set to.

b. Password – This is the same password you login to the Zip admin site with.

c. Web Site # - This is the same number used to login to the Zip admin site.

d. Web Site Address – This is your live customer facing URL.

4. Use the Download Instructions section to set your defaults for downloading applications.

a. Use the Default Destination Folder dropdown to select which data folder you want defaulted.

b. Select the appropriate radio button from your preferred Default Naming Option.

c. Select the File Type you prefer to save your applications as.

5. Click OK to save your preferences and close the window.

 

Setting your WebCaster Preferences: 

Note: Your routing and delivery options set on the WebCaster Admin page will determine what information is entered in this section. Refer to knowledge base article 4201 Configuring WebCaster to download online applications for more information on routing and delivery methods and 4202 Enabling Loan Originators to receive online applications if you would like to enable loan originators to receive their own applications.

  1. Navigate to Utilities > Zip/WebCaster Preferences.
  2. Select the WebCaster radio button in the Connect to: section.
  3. Complete the WebCaster Administration Login Information section.

    Note: This section is to be completed exactly the same for each user.

    1. Administrator E-Mail – This is the WebCaster Admin’s email address that is used to login to the WebCaster Administration site.
    2. Web Site # - This is the same number used to login to the WebCaster admin site.
    3. Web Site Address - This is your live customer facing URL.

 

4. If you would like Point to notify you of applications received from WebCaster, select the Notify when application is received at website checkbox then use the dropdown in the same section to tell Point how often to check for new applications.

 

Note: You will still receive email notifications of application submittals regardless of if you use this feature or not.

5. Use the Loan Application Download Instructions section to set your defaults for downloading applications.
    1. Use the Default Destination Folder dropdown to select which data folder you want defaulted.
    2. Select the appropriate radio button from your preferred Default Naming Option.
    3. Select the File Type you prefer to save your applications as.
      d. Enter your Loan Status Password in the Loan Status Update/Document Send/Retrieve section.

 

Note: If you would like loan status updates to populate in the borrower side portal select the Display menus for loan status update checkbox.

6. Complete the Loan Application Login section.

7. If applications are being routed to the primary only, enter the primary email address for the Loan Application E-Mail and the site login password as the Loan Application Password.

8. If applications are being routed to individual Loan Originators this information will vary from system to system using each individual’s email address and set password.
Click OK to save your preferences and close the window.
