This article consists of the following procedures:
- Importing one Fannie Mae file at a time
- Importing Multiple Fannie Mae files at once
To import multiple Fannie Mae files at once, you must complete the following procedures:
- Enable Auto File Naming
- Create a folder on the C: drive and copy all the Fannie Mae files into the folder
- Create a data import template to import all the Fannie Mae files
Importing one Fannie Mae file at a time:
1. Open Point.
2. From the left navigation panel, select the Loans tab.
3. From the Workspace on the right, click the New... button to create a new file.
4. Select New Blank File.
5. Navigate to File > Import From > Fannie Mae DO/DU using the top menu bar.
6. Locate and double-click the Fannie Mae file you want to import.
Batch import multiple Fannie Mae files at once
Note: Auto File Naming must be enabled. Refer to KB 1133
Create an import template to batch import the Fannie Mae format files
1. Open Point.
2. From the left navigation panel, click the Templates tab.
3. Select Data Import.
4. Click New.
5. Use the Import Format: dropdown box to select Fannie Mae 3.2 or 3.4.
6. Click the Batch Import button.
7. Select Prospect or Borrower for which side of point you want your files to import to.
8. Click Browse and select where your Fannie Mae files are located.
9. Click Start Import.
10. You will be prompted to name and save the Template for future use.
