3906 Data Folder Structure

Back to Main

Maintaining proper data folder structure is important to keep Point functioning efficiently. This practice reduces "lost file" issues, sluggish search results. It is recommended to limit 1500 files per folder if you are not using PointCentral.

Each data folder should contain only specific files and folders that are used for configuration purposes:

Notice that the only folders that exist are the Borrower and Prospect.

Also, the only files that exist in the data folder are configuration settings, index files, folder.sec, and folder.user. Any other files in this folder should be moved to a different location.
