CNAME Change For All other Domain Name Providers

You will need to remove the A-Record and replace that with a CNAME. You can contact your domain provider with specific steps and instructions on how to do this. These steps should be similar with MOST domain name providers. Contact your specific Domain Name Provider for specific steps.

Using Domain Name Forwarding:
(This is because most domain name providers will not allow a CNAME to point to the “Root” (@). This can be reserved by the system for something else.)

1. Create domain forwarding. You will need to set up the root of your domain name (yourdomainname.com) to point to www.yourdomainname.com
2. You should have an A-Record pointing to 38.108.184.171. You will need to delete this entry. If you have an A-Record pointing to any other IP address, that is fine; you can leave that alone. Only delete it if it is pointing to 38.108.184.171.
3. Under CNAMEs, you will need to create a CNAME for www (this may be labeled as Alias) points to secure.web-loans.com. (The look of this section and terminology may vary depending on the domain provider you are with.)

Without using Domain Name Forwarding:
A few Domain providers WILL allow a CNAME to point to the “Root” (@). You can ask your specific provider if they do. If so, you will NOT need the domain name forwarding as mentioned above. (The “Root” simply means yourdomainname.com without anything preceding it, like “www.”, for example.)

1. You should have an A-Record pointing to3 8.108.184.171. You will need to delete this entry.
2. Under CNAMEs, you will need to create a CNAME for www (this may be labeled as Alias) points to secure.web-loans.com. (The look of this section and terminology may vary depending on the domain provider you are with.)
3. Also under CNAMEs, you will need to create a CNAME for @ (this signifies the root) points to secure.web-loans.com.

Please Note: Changes to your domain name will generally take about an hour or two to propagate through the DNS servers. All domain providers are different, so contact your specific provider with questions.
