6362 Error: Invalid Argument

SYMPTOM

When you open Point, an error appears: "Invalid Argument"

 

CAUSE

There is an issue with the data folder connection in Point Administrator.

 

RESOLUTION

Disconnect and re-connect the data folder in Point Administrator.

  1. Close Point.
  2. From the desktop, select Start > Programs > Calyx Software > Point Administrator.
  3. Click Setup Data Folders.
  4. Write down the path that appears in the Linked Directory column (for example: P:Pntdata or G:Closed)
  5. Highlight the data folder and click Disconnect.
  6. Click Yes on the warning message that appears.
  7. In the Data Folder Manager window, click Connect Existing.
  8. In the Connect to Existing Folder window, enter the directory path that you wrote down, (for example: P:Pntdata or G:Closed)
  9. Click OK. This adds the data folder back into the Data Folder Manager.
  10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 for all data folders that are connected.
  11. Exit Point Administrator and open Point.
