SYMPTOM

The CLR: 80004005. The program will now terminate error occurs when you open Point.

CAUSE

The Point application is running in Windows compatibility mode.

RESOLUTION

1. Click the Windows Start icon from the bottom taskbar on the desktop.
• For Windows 7, select Computer.
• For Windows 10, right click the Windows icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen and select File Explorer.
2. Double-click Local Disk C: and open the Winpoint folder.
3. Right-click the Winpoint.exe file and select Properties.
4. Click the Compatibility tab.
5. Clear the Run this program in Compatibility Mode for check box in the Compatibility Mode section.
6. Click OK.
7. Open Point.
