      6380 Unable to retrieve printer device

      SYMPTOM

      The Unable to retrieve printer device error occurs when printing a form.

       

      CAUSE

      The printer settings are not set in the winpoint.ini configuration file.

       

      RESOLUTION

      Reset printer settings

       
      1. Close Point.
      2. Click the Windows Start button.
      3. Type winpoint.ini in the search field and press < enter >.

      The winpoint.ini file is opened and displayed.

      4. Select and delete the [Paper Sources] section.

      5. Save and close the winpoint.ini file.

      6. Open the Point loan file.
      7. Select File > Paper sources.

      7. Select Auto Select or try to specify the tray number for each paper size.

      8.Click OK.
