      SYMPTOM

      Printing reports causes Point to crash with an error, or the report prints nonsense text. Standard Point forms print correctly. Only reports are affected.


      CAUSE

      Complex report printing can cause problems with specific printer drivers. The most common printers that can encounter this problem are:

      • Multi-function
      • Sharp
      • Minolta
      • Brother

      RESOLUTION

      Install a different driver for the printer than the one that is in use.

      In some cases, you may need to consult with your IT Department to install a different printer driver.
      1. Go to the Website for the printer manufacturer.
      2. Click the link to find the driers or software download section.
      3. Search for the printer model.
      4. Download and install an alternate driver than the one that is currently installed, such as a Post Script (PS), PCL 5, or PCL 6 driver.
