6639 Windows update that affects PDF Conversion in Point

SYMPTOM

Users who run Windows® 10 may encounter conflicts with the Calyx Document Converter in Point after installing Windows updates.

CAUSE

When updating to Windows® 10 the Calyx Document Converter stops converting documents to a PDF

RESOLUTION

• Turn off the Windows default printer and reinstall the Calyx Document Converter.

Turning off the Windows Default Printer

1. Close Point.
2. Click the Windows start icon.
3. Go to Settings.
4. Click Devices.
5. Verify that Let windows manage my default printer is turned off.

Reinstall the Calyx Document Converter

1. Click the Windows start icon.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Double Click- Local Disk C:
4. Double-click the Winpoint folder.
5. Right-Click PDFinstall.exe and select Run as administrator.
6. Open Point.
